Ricardo McRae is a trailblazer, known for his commitment to business, creativity and community. He is the Founder of Black In Canada and in 2012 he merged his design business to become the Co-Founder and Chief Artistic Officer of Wedge15.
He has been featured on CTV’s The Social, The Huffington Post, CFRB News Talk Radio, CHML AM900, Women of Influence, Chatelaine Magazine & Rogers TV “Start Something BIG”. He is also a frequent commentator on radio and on New York-based media outlet HuffPost LIVE, and was featured in the best selling book “The In-Credibility Factor” by Teresa Kruze.
Raised in Trinidad and Tobago, educated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Windsor and OCAD, and a proud business owner for the past 10 years, Ricardo is a cheerleader for excellence. A certified Project Manager (PMP) and Sales Professional (CPSA), he has been behind the launch of some of the biggest brands in Canada in his twenty year career; from Molson Canadian to Clean Technology company, Clean15. Other clients of his include York University; the Consulate General of Germany; Jean Paul Comedy; Idea Nation; Urban Arts; Olive Branch of Hope; the Canadian Bible Society; and Rogers Group of Funds.
Ricardo has won numerous art and web-design awards from Adobe and RapidWeaver as examples of excellent design and is the 2014 recipient of the Man of Honour Award from the Black Business and Professionals Association.
